A Thompson Model of 1921 SMG Plug Fire Cap Gun by the well known Model Gun Corporation of Japan.

A plug firing cap gun works with reusable cartridges which have small caps 'plugged' into the front which are detonated by the bolt. The cartridges are then ejected just like real spent cartridges, and can then be reloaded and used again.

Front and rear pistol grip and butt stock are all made of real wood. Butt stock is removable by pressing the button on the top of the rear stock near the receiver.

Quite an unusual piece, and a tough one to find these days! A great full sized Thompson cap gun.
