An inert pre-WWI German 3.7 cm round for the C97/98 Hotchkiss 3.7cm Maxim Automatic Cannon, which you should definitely look up if you've never seen one because man… those are some good lookin' field guns.

Dated 1903 on the headstamp. The round is loose and a little proud in the brass shell, but does not come out.

Measures 16.5cm long by 4.4cm in diameter at the base.
