A WWII Era German M1884/98 knife bayonet made for use with the 8mm Mauser Kar 98k rifle. It has the original scabbard with a matching serial number and a leather frog with stamped markings.

The blade is in good condition with some patination and remnants of grease. It's marked on the ricasso with the serial number 3436, which is also stamped near the mouth of the scabbard on the opposite side of the frog stud. It's stamped on the spine with a Crown over W over 17 as well as a smaller indistict mark with what appears to be a crown over another symbol. The same mark appears on the pommel on the opposite side from the press stud.

The wood grips are in good condition. The scabbard has some paint loss and minor scratches, but otherwise is in good condition.
