WWI P1907 Enfield Bayonet with Scabbard
This Pattern 1907 sword bayonet was made for use with the .303 caliber Short, Magazine, Lee-Enfield No. I Mk. III Rifle, otherwise known as the SMLE Rifle. It's seen heavy use and is somewhat the worse for wear, having lost its press stud and catch at some point in its life. The blade itself is quite sharp, and it comes with both scabbard and frog.
The blade is marked on the ricasso with the numbers '9' and '18' dating it to 1918, as well as '1907' for the pattern. The other side of the ricasso is marked with a broad arrow and X (bend test mark) as well as the remnants of what looks to be a crown mark over 15(?) over E.
