A Cased Set of Percussion Cap Dueling Pistols by Richard Constable, Philadelphia
This set dates to circa 1840 and was sold by the Philadelphia Gunsmith Richard Constable (1815-1851). They feature browned damascus twist octagonal barrels with a bright silver bead style front sight. Both the hammer and the action are engraved, with the maker's name "Constable" on the action and "Philadelphia" on the barrel towards the breech.
Both in fireable condition, the smooth bore has some oxidation but no visible pitting. Borescope photos to be uploaded soon!
A wonderfully complete set with tons of extras in the case. All in all a great collector's piece!
