A beautiful soapstone carving of an otter standing up on its hind legs with one paw raised in the air. Carved by Nowya Qinuajua, a Canadian Inuit artist from the village of Akulivik in northern Quebec. It's marked on the bottom with his disc number E9-1360. There are a couple of bumps on it that could easily be cleaned up and polished. As it sits it has a beautiful glow to it, and the right lighting brings out all the wonderful veining in the soapstone.
