Marlin Model 97 Lever Action Takedown Rifle with Lyman Peep Sight
Everything Old Antiques & Vintage
SKU: 354-16
A beautiful Marlin Model 97 lever action takedown rifle chambered in .22 and equipped with a Lyman Peep Sight. Bore is bright with good rifling, and the case hardened action works beautifully on it. It has an original sliding ramp rear sight, and is marked on the octagonal portion of the barrel with "Marlin Fire Arms Co. New Haven CT., U.S.A." as well as patent dates of Jan. 18, 1887, April 2nd 1889, Aug. 12th 1890, and Mar. 1st 1892. It has overall wear and handling marks, with the only significant damage being a small missing piece of the original butt plate that corresponds with a crack in the lower section of the rear stock. Please examine all photos to see the condition!
