Yes it works, but does it work a little too well? I guess not, but all I'm saying is that he doesn't need to save up a little energy for when I'm not paying attention so he can skitter across the counter towards me.

He's in fine working order though! Wind him up and he walks on his hands across the counter, which if you've ever tried to walk on your hands anywhere you would know is a super impressive feat.
