This is a gorgeous hand painted mask of Tecun Uman, King of the Mayans. It's used in the Dance of the Conquest that tells the story of the last Mayan Chief, Tecun Uman. He was one of the last rulers of the K'iche'Maya kingdom, and became Guatemala's official national hero in 1960.
