A fantastic German Regimental Beer Stein, full of detail from top to bottom! Named to the Prince Carl of Bavaria Regiment, the outside is decorated with different scenes that are described in German on the banners beneath. The bottom rim has the name "Reiter Faeustle", and it is topped with a figure of a rider on horseback. The thumb-lever for the lid is in the form of a lion holding a shield.

This is a lithophane mug, a method of pottery that used differing thicknesses of porcelain to form an image of surprising detail when held up to the light. The interior shows a portrait of a man in military dress.
