J. Grainger Double Barrel Percussion Muzzle Loading Shotgun
An antique percussion black powder .70 cal shotgun by John Grainger, a gunsmith working in Toronto Ontario between 1854 and 1868.
All in all in stunning condition, with a case hardened lock and what appear to be near-new nipples. The lock, back strap and butt plate all show scroll engraving. The smooth bores show very light corrosion typical of black powder arms of this era, but overall are in impressive shape. Both hammers hold half and full cock and are nice and responsive to the triggers.
