Bore is clean with strong rifling. Action is smooth and crisp and the hammer holds and both half and full cock. Lovely carved grips accented by an engraved back strap and pommel. Frame is deeply engraved with ornate grapevine, and the cylinder is also engraved with a scrolling foliate pattern. Loading gate holds shut with a clever little latch system, and the sliding rod below the barrel is used to eject spent cartridges.
