WWI Brazilian M1908 Bayonet & Scabbard
These bayonets were produced by several different German manufacturers between 1908 and 1914. This example was made by Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie. of Solingen, a company that still makes blades today under the company name "WKC Stahl und Metallwarenfabrik".
It is marked with "WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & CIE SOLINGEN" on the ricasso. The spine has a teardrop over an uppercase B. The pommel is marked with a B (Beta) inspection mark. Crossguard is marked with "Ff1746". The German-made scabbard has a leather body with brass mounts and is unmarked.
Overall in wonderful condition! One side of the blade is rather spotted but not pitted. There are some scrapes on the leather of the scabbard.
