Quite a unique piece! A French single shot .30 cal percussion knife pistol with a 3.75" folding blade marked "Brevet-L'Invention" with a king's crown over GR. The trigger on this piece is also a screw, allowing it to be secured to the doorframe so the pistol could be used as an alarm gun if the door were to be forced open. With the trigger screwed into the frame and the barrel over the door, when the door is opened the trigger is activated and BANG! Someone is loudly convinced that this is not the right room to mess with.

I'm not entirely sure what the third tool on this piece is. It has a narrow line around the base so MAYBE once upon a time it could be unscrewed to use as a ramrod? It has an odd little hook on the end for...? Who knows?

The horn grips are in less than ideal condition. Looks like something decided to make a meal of them at some point in the past. The pull-back on the 'hammer' is quite stiff, but it does function as intended.

Just an absolute gem of a unique piece.
