Antique Brass & Japanned Metal Microscope by Wood of Liverpool
A gorgeous specimen with which to look at specimens.
Made by the enigmatically named "Wood" who did business at 20 Lord Street in Liverpool, this is a simple single lens microscope with three curving legs and a single lens. Aperture is changed by turning a wheel with different sized holes in it, and the entire business hinges in the centre so you can tilt it to catch more light.
A great gift for a scienc-y person in your life!
Measures 10" tall when fully compacted.
